“I have one desire now – to live a life of reckless
abandon for the Lord, putting all my energy and
strength into it.” – Elisabeth Elliot

The condition of my heart echoes these words. Surrendering my life as a living sacrifice to God has allowed me to say “yes” to the Lord and live without fear of what is to come. Because Christ gave his life for me, I must live a life of reckless abandon for him, putting all my energy and strength into it.

Only five days until Launch (see you so soon, Squad L)! This season of life is so bittersweet. Eagerly anticipating all that is to come while seeking to be intentional with the time I have left at home. Allowing myself to feel all the feels without giving in to fear and anxiety. Saying a lot of “see you later” to my loved ones and at the same time finding joy and comfort knowing God remains present with us all. The cost to follow Jesus and be his disciple is high, but there is no other master I’d want to serve more than the One who created, loves, and died for me.

Prayer request: Please pray that packing will go smoothly, and all stress would be relieved, for the Lord to continue preparing me for this big transition and transformative lifestyle, and that the peace of God would guard my heart and mind in him (Philippians 4:7).

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” Philippians 1:3-5

  7. I am praying for you too, Jodie. Letting go is so hard, but knowing they are in a place where God has called them is comforting. You have raised an amazing daughter. It takes great strength and courage to step out in faith the way she is, and in the way you are in entrusting her into God’s plan for her.

    Stay strong Mama,
    Deb Watson

It won’t always be easy, but it will be life changing. Stay strong and courageous Dear Madilyn!
