I am going on the World Race because I feel that God is leading me to more in this season of life rather than beginning college right away.

In June 2017, I went to Ocean City, MD with my family and some people from our church to evangelize on the boardwalk. On the trip, God allowed me to witness someone professing Jesus Christ as their Savior for the first time. Since then, my eyes have been opened and heart softened for the lost and God’s people.

In August 2018 and August 2019, God gave me the opportunity to go on mission trips to Colombia, South America. Through these trips, God deepened my faith and grew my trust in Him. Seeing lives transformed by the gospel altered the way I viewed people and my purpose.

As a senior in high school, I constantly was asked what I was doing next. Although college is a blessing and God could surely use me there, I didn’t feel at peace with starting right away. Through His working in my heart, I have had the lingering thought for years that I may want to serve God on the mission field in some way. After much prayer, talking with others, and research, God led me to The World Race. He continued answering prayers and opening doors, so I want to be obedient to Him by saying, “Here am I. Send me!”

I know that God can do abundantly more than I could think or imagine, so I rest assured in Him as he prepares me for this journey ahead. I am filled with gratitude that the Lord has chosen me as an ambassador for Him and the advancement of His Kingdom.

  1. This is incredible! They say 95% of Christians have never seen/led someone to accept Jesus as Lord and savior. I am so excited to see what God does in and through your life this year.
